Full Itinerary

Day 1 – Arrive Salt Lake City

Arrive in Salt Lake City, “The City of Saints,” founded by Brigham Young in 1847. This evening enjoy a Welcome Dinner with your travel companions.

Day 2 – Salt Lake City – West Yellowstone

Enjoy a panoramic Salt Lake City Tour featuring the unique downtown area, State Capitol, Temple Square, and the This Is the Place Monument, where Brigham Young envisioned the building of the Mormon City.

Later relax and enjoy the drive north into Idaho before arriving in the small town of West Yellowstone, Montana for a two-night stay. The gateway town sits at the popular west entrance of Yellowstone National Park, the world’s first national park, established in 1872. Enjoy dinner this evening in West Yellowstone.

Day 3 – Wildlife Safari and Yellowstone National Park

This morning embark on your Wildlife Safari and Yellowstone National Park Tour. A local guide joins you for a day of touring and a “safari” experience for the best opportunity to view some of the park’s astounding array of wildlife such as elk, bear, wolves, moose, sheep, and bison, along with many species of bird life including bald eagles.

The amazing park also features over 10,000 hot springs, thundering waterfalls, geysers, and endless forests. The day features incredible scenery as you drive through the park and stop to see Yellowstone Lake.

Of course, the day is not complete without a visit to the park’s most famous attraction, Old Faithful Geyser, which shoots a plume of steam skyward about every 90 minutes. Enjoy time to wander, shop, or have a bite to eat in the area around the historic Old Faithful Inn. Return to your hotel after this full-day Yellowstone exploration.

Day 4 – West Yellowstone – Jackson

This morning enjoy a visit to the Grizzly and Wolf Discovery Center, a chance to experience the world of grizzly bears and gray wolves. Located in West Yellowstone, the animals at the center are unable to survive in the wild and serve as ambassadors for their wild counterparts.

Later travel south towards Jackson, Wyoming. En route, visit the National Museum of Wildlife Art featuring 14 galleries filled with paintings, sculptures, and other artwork. The museum sits on a cliff overlooking the National Elk Refuge, and the building itself seems to come from the earth, capturing the natural beauty of the surroundings.

Later arrive in the quiet cowboy and resort town of Jackson, Wyoming for a two-night stay. The town has developed into an amazing gateway for people from all walks of life where the Old West and New are splendidly combined. Be sure to visit the colorful Million Dollar Cowboy Bar with its saddle-shaped barstools.

Day 5 – Jackson – Grand Teton National Park – Snake River Float

Today visit the spectacular Grand Teton National Park. Towering more than a mile above the valley of Jackson Hole, the Teton Mountain Range is one of the youngest ranges on the continent, rising 14,000 feet and supporting a dozen mountain glaciers.

Later outside of Jackson take a scenic Snake River Float Trip with an experienced and knowledgeable guide through this pristine landscape. Your guide will discuss the history, geology, and wildlife of the region. Maybe see beaver, cutthroat trout, cliff swallows, pelicans, osprey, and bald eagles on your journey.

Return to Jackson for an evening at your own pace in this great western town.

Day 6 – Jackson – Park City, Utah

Today travel to Park City, home to several events of the 2002 Winter Olympics and one of the most beautiful resort areas in North America. Visit the Utah Olympic Park and enjoy a movie that features the Games’ highlights.

Next visit the museum filled with memorabilia from the Olympic Games. In the city center, enjoy a stroll down Main Street filled with over 64 historic buildings, charming shops, galleries, and boutiques. Tonight enjoy a Farewell Dinner with your fellow travelers.
