Grant Writing Workshop

This training is intended for beginners to Grant Writing from area non-profit organizations, government agencies, and K-12 institutions.  Our purpose is to increase the available resources for serving our community, by building the grant writing capacity of local organizations.

The workshop will cover how to locate appropriate funding opportunities, how to review funding guidelines, and how to develop and write each part of the proposal.  Participants will learn essential strategies they need to be successful; the “do’s” and “don’ts” of planning, writing, and submitting a proposal.

Michael Cortes has over 20 years of grant writing experience and will conduct the workshop.  He has brought in over $100 million in competitive federal, state, local, corporate, and foundation grants ranging in amounts from $500 to $8 million for non-profit organizations, school districts, and local government agencies.
